About Christopher Schroeder

I spent years in environments that most people never see — the military, then Rikers Island as a New York City Correction Officer. Those years taught me more about loneliness, pressure, and what people need from each other than any classroom could.

I write about that now. My books deal with solitude, self-understanding, and the patient work of rebuilding connection after life changes without asking permission.

I also build tools. I built EQ Storybook Studio and Pet Storybook Studio for the same reason I write the books: emotional intelligence is easier to learn when it arrives as a story about someone you love, instead of as advice.
